  • Filtered beer can usually be poured completely, starting at 45 degrees and finishing down the middle for about 1 inch of foam.
  • German wheat beers and Belgian ales traditionally may have 2-3 inches of head.
  • For unfiltered beer, avoid disturbing sediment, watch the bottle neck, stop before yeast reaches the top, and ask the consumer when uncertain.
